Mixed-media Art Classes for Children
from 4:00-5:30 p.m. on Mondays and Fridays at Susana's Studio on east side Santa Cruz
In the weekly classes, students:
- learn about making wonderful, imaginative pictures by using a variety of media and basic design principles
- make story-related art and personally inspired pictures
- work from both observation and imagination
- expand their work on projects for more than one class session, increasing focus
Students participate in yearly international art exchanges to Kenya, Russia, or other countries as desired. We have a special friendship with Fanat, an art school in Novosibirsk, Russia.

Maximum class size is seven children, ages 5-12. Payment is made in advance, by the month, $15 per class. Classes are ongoing through the school year.
All art supplies and snacks provided.
Susana still teaches for Spectra and taught at the Children's Art Center from 1993-2000. She has a particular interest in art and creativity for this age group. She has a K-12 California Art Credential.
